What this tool can do today

Each slide becomes a heading with its bullet list, tables, and speaker notes converted into clean Markdown, in slide order. Images are never OCRed or invented — alt text is kept when the deck provides it, otherwise a neutral image marker is shown. Charts are represented as a marker rather than extracted data. Complex slide layouts may not preserve the exact visual reading order, and text inside grouped shapes may be limited based on current pipeline coverage. Always review the output before relying on it.

File retention

Uploaded originals and conversion results are temporary. They are not kept as a permanent document library.

  • Uploaded originals are used only to produce your Markdown result and are deleted as soon as processing ends, or within 60 minutes at the latest.
  • Conversion results and job records are available for up to 60 minutes, then expire and are automatically removed from the active database.
  • We do not keep a permanent document library. Limited provider-managed infrastructure snapshots may retain residual copies for up to 5 days before automatic expiry.
  • Uploaded originals are held in temporary local storage only while the job is processed. Recurring cleanup removes any expired temporary upload left by an interruption.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my file after upload?

It is kept in temporary storage only while your job is processed, deleted immediately after processing ends, and never stored permanently. See our privacy page for the full retention policy.

What output will I get?

Clean Markdown with one heading per slide, bullet lists, tables, image alt text (or a neutral marker when none is provided), and speaker notes, plus a metadata block showing estimated tokens and the signed token change.

Do you convert other file types?

Yes. PDF, Word (.docx), OpenDocument Text (.odt), Excel (.xlsx), HTML, CSV/TSV, and plain text are all supported on the document converter. This page focuses on PowerPoint; use the document converter for anything else.
